EV Motors India Private Limited (“EVM”) is a start-up company focused on the environment and the energy industry in India and the Asia Pacific region and is seeking to address the major air pollution issue that is grappling the region. The Company proposes to develop the e-Mobility eco system within the Asia Pacific region with the support of a management team that has significant years of experience in the automotive, energy and alternate energy application for the automotive Industry
As a first initiative EVM has launched its pilot charging outlet under the brand “PlugNgo” in the Delhi NCR area and very shortly would be going live with another 20 charging outlets by December 2019. Over the next 5 years EVM has a vision to establish 6500 charging outlets all across India that would promote the sale and use of Electric Vehicles (EV). It plans to manage the scalability and growth through its proprietary software platform and has the desire to expand its boundaries outside India in a phased manner.
EVM is seeking to set up an energy storage solution for the Indian market to include the transport industry, initially targeting the Two Wheeler and Three Wheeler applications that are providing the daily commuting & last mile connectivity. Since, the energy storage industry in India is expected to grow exponentially due to focused approach by the Government on renewable energy and the need for increased efficiency in the telecommunication industry EVM would see to leverage its solutions for other industries outside the transportation industry.
EVM is also working to develop an e-bus for corporate staff transportation market which has been growing rapidly as a result of congested urban traffic and with the advent of shared mobility. Currently in India over 15,000 mini-buses are sold annually with a double-digit growth rate to support staff transportation. This bus segment is also increasingly being deployed for the last mile connectivity for Office Staff, Metro/Rail stations, airports and interstate terminals.
Over the next decade the automotive industry is expected to see a disruption with the adoption of the electric vehicles and EVM is working to get its product portfolio in place that would allow it to scale up its operations and establish itself in this emerging market place.
